This Week's Entry to Carnival of the Recipes

Steak with Garlic Blue Cheese Butter

Ingredients for Steak:
3 cloves of fresh garlic
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 boneless steaks (I used top loin strip steaks) 3/4 inch think (about 1 3/4 lb)

1) Crush garlic with garlic press into medium bowl. Stir in seasoned salt, pepper and soy sauce. Place steaks in marinade making sure they're coated on all sides and marinate for 10 minutes. Spray grill with cooking spray and preheat on medium high.

2)Grill steaks how you like them and throw away remaining marinade. Cut into portions and top with Garlic Blue Cheese Butter.

Ingredients for Garlic Blue Cheese Butter:
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
1/2 cup butter, divided
1 (4-oz) container crumbled blue cheese (3/4 cup)
1/2 tsp dried thyme

1) Crush garlic into microwave safe bowl. Add onion powder, steak seasoning and 2 Tbsn of butter; microwave on HIGH 30 seconds until butter melts.

2) Stir and microwave 2 more minutes, stirring once. Let sit to cool, about 5 minutes.

3) Cut remaining butter into small pieces and add to garlic mixture with blue cheese and thyme. Mix until well-blended. Chill until ready to serve over steak . Is good spread on bread too.

I also call this recipe, "Check your Gall Bladder at the door." Yikes! It's very yummy, but the butter and the blue cheese... wow.
