Recently have been told I look like Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island. I hadn't heard that in years, but that is a good place to start as to what I look like, although she had a better bod. I have three boys and have been married for 13 years. Born of a Navy family, in Hawaii, one Mom, one Dad, one sister and one brother. The eldest of three children. BS in Applied Mathematics. Consider Pensacola my home town although I moved every 2-3 years of my life growing up. Currently work in the aerospace industry in an engineering position while being a Mom. Of Celtic heritage and very proud of it.

Heroes

I do not post enough on what I think of our military fighting overseas or for those who have returned home. It is Sunday. A day of reflection. Allow me to say that I love our men and women over there and the respect I have for them and for what they are doing for us is tremendous. That said, there are blogs with many connections to the activities over there that give excellent insight, John at Castle Argghhhh! and Matty at Blackfive, being just two of them.

All who serve our country honorably are heroes. But then there are those who are HEROES.

John has an excellent post today on Heroes. It’s a good read. On one hand you have PFC Jessica Lynch, a hero in the fact she was serving our country, but THEN you have SFC Ray Smith, potential Medal of Honor recipient, post-humously. Have you heard of him? I thought not. Take a read over at Castle Argghhhh!

Read it. Enjoyed it.

Well, sort of. It was emotionally difficult to read, but I felt like a better person for having read it.
