Recently have been told I look like Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island. I hadn't heard that in years, but that is a good place to start as to what I look like, although she had a better bod. I have three boys and have been married for 13 years. Born of a Navy family, in Hawaii, one Mom, one Dad, one sister and one brother. The eldest of three children. BS in Applied Mathematics. Consider Pensacola my home town although I moved every 2-3 years of my life growing up. Currently work in the aerospace industry in an engineering position while being a Mom. Of Celtic heritage and very proud of it.

Beige...I think I'll Paint the Ceiling Beige

So I have bitten the proverbial bullet and started a blog. Upon the good advice of Harvey at Bad Example, I am using BlogSpot. Hey, it’s free and I have no desire to dump money into something I may not like doing. I don’t know about all this linky stuff yet, but am sure it will come in the next few days. I am taking this one step at a time.

I had a choice of a few templates. I am evidently still in my Beige phase. Beige… I think I’ll paint the ceiling Beige… That’s the punch line to a favorite joke of mine from college, that will now reverberate through my head every time I look at my blog.

The joke goes something like this:
What is the difference between a Prostitute, a Mistress, and a Wife?
The Prostitute says, “Are you finished yet?”
The Mistress says, “Oh can’t we do it again?”
The Wife says, “Beige… I think I’ll paint the ceiling Beige.”

I’ll start the real posting after I get the linky stuff down pat. It will more than likely be a tribute to my Blog Fathers. I have two.  Very 21st Century don’t you think?

YAY!

I'm just giddy with delight that you're finally here.

It's like that scene out of a million old movies where the gorgeous woman slowly descends the grand, sweeping staircase in her head-turningly elegant dress.

Welcome... m'lady... to the blogosphere.

I can't believe I'm here! And I haven't thrown my monitor off my desk in great frustration yet... I give that a week.

I'm working on a Post to my Blogfathers. I'll be nice!
